It's true! I suck at writing blog posts. You would think blogging would be easy for a writer. If it were just the writing, it probably would be. What no one tells you about blogging is that you have to figure out how to find the time to sit in the chair and just think about what to write. Things that don't have anything to do with the fictional part of your life.
I have no clue what the people who don't read my blog would want to read about my life or my writing. I just like to write my little stories and be on my merry little way. I have no blog readers so deciding what to write is even harder. This isn't a bid for sympathy. I'm not saying, "Oh, hey, I have no readers. Woe is me so please come read my blog." That isn't what this is. I'm not sure I actually want blog readers. Sure, I want people to buy and read my books. That is a whole different kettle of fish. I put my heart and soul into the words that wind up on the pages of those books. I think about a story for weeks or months before I even start writing the words that end up in the book. But, blogging? That isn't about creating a story I love or creating characters I want to be friends with. Or, hell, even creating characters I want to hate. It's about sitting at the computer and trying to relate to people I can't see. People I don't know who might someday read my words and hope for some insight I don't think I have. Blogging is about sharing my process. Sharing my inspiration. Sharing how the heck I create my characters. Honestly, sometimes, I don't even know how I do that. It just happens. I never know what to blog about that might entice readers to visit my little blog in hopes someone might actually click on the link to buy one of my books. How's that for honesty? So, phantom readers, I'm sorry I'm such a shit at this whole blogging thing. I'll try to do better at figuring out what to say in my future rambling musings that is my blog. Maybe someday I'll actually figure out what readers might want to read. And then, you know, get some. Readers, that is. Oh, I have a new erotic short out. It's called Bound to Her Alien Mate: Katia's Group Bonding Adventure. I took up the challenge to write an orgy short. So, obviously, I had to write about aliens. I have no clue why. It's just how my mind works. Handsome purple aliens who bond with each other as well as with their mates sounded like a really great premise for a story to me. I wrote my first M/M scene as seen through the eyes of my heroine. I'll admit this story got my engines going it was that hot. So, if you like male/male action as well as reading about one girl who takes on three hot alien studs, this book might just be the thing you want to read. Did I mention there is this alien girl with a tail? I can't even believe I went there but I did.
